How's that for cyclical? Hellboy's first match was against a famous Harry Potter wizard, and his last match is against a famous Harry Potter wizard.

I never thought we'd have a double-digit seed in the finals, but here we are. Wow.

Which takes longer- to flick a stick and recite a phrase or to pull a trigger?

Good question, Dumbledore is quite good at silent spells, which could give quite the speed advantage.

Couldn't Dumbledore just use a Summoning Charm to pull the gun right out of Hellboy's hands, anyway?

I bet you meant "muttonchops," but Albus Dumbledore vs. an insane Lamb Chop would be some serious must-see stuff.

Hellboy's got a pretty good grip though, so if the Summoning Charm is strong enough, then it drags Hellboy's whole body directly into Dumbledore--which could finish Albus off right then and there. But if not, then it turns into a fisticuffs match.

Assuming the Summoning Charm pulls Hellboy in too - which is a pretty big assumption - I see no reason why Dumbledore couldn't also use a Banishing Charm to repel him, or perhaps a Shield Charm. He has a lot of spells at his disposal.

Expelliarmus would work just fine too for getting rid of that gun.

Like Optimistic said Dumbledore has an assortment of spells at his disposal. For example, he could make himself invisible and confund Hellboy. Or use the Duro spell and turn the rest of him into stone. Remember the end of book 5? Dumbledore rounded up 4 or 5 deatheaters and bound them all up, some tried to run away but he just levitated them all together. He did this all non-verbally. I see no reason why Dumbledore couldn't easily disarm Hellboy and bind him up.

I'm sure Hellboy could break the cords--I mean, he can uproot a tree. He's definitely a different caliber than Deatheaters.

I'm sure Dumbledore could just conjure up more cords, too. Or stronger cords. Or just immobilize him.

My original comment was to bring this sort of imagery to the table
Officiator: Ready, Fight!

Dumbledore: Expe-
BANG!

Hellboy wins! (if he hits Dumbledore on his first shot. If he misses, and there's that possibility, then Dumbledore could take him out.)

Right, but I do think Dumbledore would be faster than Hellboy. Hellboy has to raise his gun, aim and then pull the trigger. And Hellboy even considers himself a lousy shot. All Dumbledore has to do is a nonverbal swish of the wand, or he could immediately apparate somewhere behind Hellboy make himself invisible and then proceed to take Hellboy out.
